Are you licensed?

Yes we are fully licensed by Braintree borough council holding a 5star rating for meeting higher standards

What do I need to bring?

Obviously your little friend and their inoculation card. We have everything else here however you can bring whatever you want to make your little ones feel more comfortable their bed, scratching post a T-shirt that smells of home.
Please do not bring litter trays or feeding bowls. We do not supply scratching posts as these cannot be cleaned properly after each use.

Does my cat need to be inoculated?

Yes full vaccination needs to be in date at time of drop off. Also up to date with flea and worming treatments.

Do I need to bring food?

No, we have the majority of popular brands here at Paws for Thought. Just let us know what they like at the time of booking. However, we do not supply veterinary prescribed foods.

How often do you feed?

We feed twice a day between 6.30am to 9am and 5.30pm and 7pm. To try and simulate your normal working day. However, if more feeding is required not a problem just let us know. Biscuits and water are down all day and checked throughout the day.

Are the Chalets heated?

Yes all the Chalets are individually heated.

What happens if my cat is ill?

We will try to contact you or your emergency contact. If we cannot we do not delay we would take your little one straight to the vets.
Either your vet while in business hours or our vet outside business hours.

Can you administer medication?

Yes, not a problem we can administer any medication required including insulin injections. Please ensure you bring enough medication for the stay.

Can we contact you while we are away?

Of course you can by phone during open hours email or messenger. We will get back to you as soon as possible and if we get a chance take a photo of you little one enjoying themselves.

My cat cannot use a cat flap

Not a problem we can prop them open for them.

When do we pay for our cat’s stay?

When you pick up. We do not accept credit cards however Cash, Cheque or Bank Transfer is fine.
